Dare to Dance
Inspired by the opportunity to make an impact in the local community, BPG established its outreach program, Dare to Dance, in the fall of 2011. The purpose of this program is to provide after-school instruction in dance and creative movement. Currently, we work with Francis Parker School No. 23 in the local Rochester community. The program meets weekly throughout the semester for four to eight weeks of instruction.

Through this program, BPG has worked with a variety of students in the 2nd through 6th grades. When the program is complete, students have the opportunity to perform in our biannual shows in Strong Auditorium. In the past, students have also performed in the Winter Concert at their school.

As a performing arts group, it is very rewarding to see the impact of arts education firsthand. Dance can be an instrumental tool in awakening the senses. Furthermore, it can serve as a form of communication while strengthening community diversity. We can't wait to see what the future holds as the Dare to Dance program continues to grow!
